Denver Neighborhoods – Mayfair

“Denver’s biggest housing boom came after World War II.  Many veterans with VA loan benefits in hand came to Denver to buy homes.  To meet the growing demand, builders created neighborhoods like Mayfair to accommodate new and growing families.  Homes were designed for families and are mostly the single story style, predominantly Tudors but also including Bungalows and other architectural styles. Although the area was annexed into Denver in 1902, it was not until the housing boom after WWII, that Mayfair officially
got its name.”
